About Weld County Court Records

Court records in Weld County live across several offices - the Colorado Judicial Branch Clerk of Court at the Centennial Center in Greeley, the elected Weld County Clerk and Recorder (Carly Koppes) for recorded documents and marriage licenses, the Weld County Sheriff's Office for jail and warrant data, and a handful of state-level Colorado agencies. Finding the right office on the first try is half the battle. This site exists so a user can land on the right portal, address, or phone number for the 19th Judicial District without bouncing between government websites.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado gives the public broad access to court records under the Colorado Open Records Act, the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, and Chief Justice Directive 05-01. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file. In Weld County, the Clerk of Court at the 19th Judicial District handles District Court felony, family, and civil cases, plus County Court misdemeanor, traffic, small claims, and probate filings. The Weld County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Steve Reams runs the jail roster, the daily arrest report, and the active warrant search. The elected Weld County Clerk and Recorder runs recorded documents, marriage licenses, motor vehicle, and elections. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the Colorado Judicial Branch, Weld County government, the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Weld County Sheriff's Office, or any other local, state, or federal agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.

Keeping Information Current

Clerk offices move. Hours change. Phone numbers get reassigned. We update pages as we hear about changes, but gaps happen. Before you drive to a courthouse, call ahead first.
